Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data AudiRadio.com collects, why, and how it is used. AudiRadio.com is free to use and does not run advertising.
Who we are
AudiRadio.com is a free directory of radio and TV streams. For any question or request about your personal data, you can reach us at any time via the Contact page.
Information we collect
Account data
- Information you provide when you register: name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text).
Station data
- Station information you submit if you list or manage a station: station name, location, streaming links, logo and related details.
- If a station has no linked account (e.g. because it was imported from the old site), our staff may separately note an owner's contact details (name, email, phone) for internal use; this is never shown anywhere on the public site.
Messages you send us
- If you write to us through the Contact form: name, email address, the text of your message, and, if you choose to attach them, up to 3 files (5 MB max each), stored in a folder that is not publicly reachable and visible only to our staff.
Usage and security data
- Basic technical data such as IP address and browser type, used for security and to keep the directory working correctly.
- To stop a single visitor from inflating a station's view or like count with repeated clicks or refreshes, your IP address is turned into a one-way, irreversible code (a hash) and kept for up to 90 days; the running view/like total is kept forever, but with no link back to your IP address.
- Failed sign-in attempts on your account are logged for 24 hours, to recognize and block unauthorized ("brute force") login attempts.
- To decide which version of the cookie banner to show you, based on the rules that apply in your area, we detect your connection's country of origin through our security provider; this is never saved to your profile or linked to your identity.
Legal basis for processing
We process your data to provide the service you asked for (operating your account and stations), for our legitimate interest in keeping the directory secure, accurate and free of abuse, or, where required, based on your consent - for example for any non-essential cookies, which we don't currently use: see our Cookie Policy.
How we use it
- To operate your account and let you manage the stations you submit.
- To keep the directory accurate and secure.
- To contact you about your account or submissions when necessary.
- To detect and prevent abuse, unauthorized access, and fraudulent behavior.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising purposes.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and station data for as long as your account is active; you can ask us to delete it at any time via the Contact page. Messages sent through the Contact form are kept for as long as needed to handle your request. Technical logs used for security are deleted automatically after a short window: failed sign-in attempts after 24 hours, the anti-abuse counter data after 90 days at most.
Who we share data with
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for advertising purposes. We rely on a site security and content delivery provider (so it sees traffic in transit, including your IP address) and on our hosting provider, which physically hosts the servers where data is stored. We do not currently use any third-party analytics or marketing tools.
Some of our forms (Contact, account registration and adding a station) also use hCaptcha, a third-party anti-spam service, which receives your IP address and some technical signals to check that a submission comes from a real person rather than a bot.
How we protect your data
The entire site is only reachable over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Passwords are stored as a secure hash, never in plain text, and cannot be read even by us. IP addresses used to prevent counter abuse are hashed before being stored. Any attachments sent through the Contact form are stored outside the site's public folder and are accessible only to our authorized staff.
Cookies
AudiRadio.com uses a small number of cookies needed to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences. See our Cookie Policy for details.
Your rights
At any time, via the Contact page, you can:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your account and the data linked to it;
- object to processing based on a legitimate interest, or withdraw a consent you already gave;
- request your data in a format you can move to another service;
- if you are a California resident, exercise your rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your data - we don't sell or share it, and we automatically honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal your browser may send as an opt-out request.
Children
AudiRadio.com is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under that age. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, let us know via the Contact page and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect new site features or legal changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised - check back occasionally.
